What are your design fees?
After a complimentary discovery call, we schedule an on-site visit where we can broadly discuss your project, the needs of the space and take accurate measurements. The fee for this visit is $325.
For the design concept itself, I charge a flat fee based on the square footage of the space(s) to be designed and the complexity of your particular project.

Can you design just one room for me?
Yes! From powder rooms to entire homes, I can help.

How long will my project take?
Project timelines have so many variables- lead times on furnishings, contractor schedules and of course the scale of the project itself. A quick turnaround on a small project could be 90 days but could also be six months. It really depends.

Do I need a budget?
I highly recommend thinking through what you’d like to invest in your new interior. This guidance helps us “speak the same language” when it comes to making decisions on every detail for a room.

Where do you source furnishings?
I have trade accounts with hundreds of quality home furnishing vendors to ensure the ideal elements are selected for your space at the right price points. I opt for beautiful, functional and durable furnishings that will last.
It is unlikely furnishings from Ikea, Wayfair, Amazon, Facebook Marketplace or other discount home good stores will be recommended for your project.

Of course! I’m happy to coordinate with any contractor you choose. Keep in mind I have relationships with painters, wallpaper installers, upholsterers, cabinet makers, etc. I can always make recommendations.

Do you provide drawings or renderings?
Yes! During the documentation phase, you’ll receive tabloid sized physical drawings of your floorplan plus color 3D renderings of your new space.

Do you provide physical samples?
Yes! Samples, particularly of textiles, go a long way in supporting the vision of your new interior. Wallpaper, paint, rug, fabric, tile, hardware, stone and millwork samples are typically available for you to see and touch.

Do you offer e-design services?
Sorry, no. Interior design is by its very nature, spatial. Without experiencing your space in person, the results will be less than ideal for both you and for me.

What geographic area do you serve?
I offer in-person residential interior design services to homeowners in Washington DC, Northern Virginia, Southern Maryland and (ahem) Vermont.
